Make Something Special for Mother’s Day

Celebrate Mother’s Day by creating a handmade glass ornament, flower, or bowl in the Salado Glassworks hot shop. Age requirements and hands-on steps vary by project.

Choose up to three colors for your piece. Depending on your selection, you may use your breath to blow the glass, handle the pipe, apply color, reheat the glass in the glory hole, and use selected tools to help shape it. Our artists gather the molten glass and complete the final shaping.

Workshop Length: 30 minutes
Ages: 3+ or 12+, depending on the project
Experience Required: None

Before Your Workshop

Please arrive 15 minutes early and wear closed-toe shoes. Your finished glass must cool overnight and will be ready for pickup the following business day.

Reservations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Workshop guests receive 10% off the gallery on the day of their experience.
